Winning bids to be announced for Gulf of Mexico leases (Houston Chronicle)

Seventy-three oil and gas companies are competing for 723 tracts, offered during the federal government’s annual sale of leases in the central Gulf of Mexico. The Minerals Management Service, which manages the leases, planned to open the bids today in New Orleans.
