Family Guy Tackles 9/11: Funny Or ? Not?

Nothing is ever off limits for Family Guy. By now, if you’re a fan of the world Seth MacFarlane has created, then you know the word “taboo” isn’t really in the man’s vocabulary. Abortion. Serial Killing. OJ Simpson. They’ve tackled it all. But last night’s episode might have hit a little to close to home for some audiences and the show’s basically waiting for the other show to drop. Keeping with the tradition of the misadventures of Stewie and Brian, the duo use their time machine to travel back in time to stop the events of September 11, 2001 from ever happening. However, their plan backfires and soon, multiple clones of pair are getting sent to different points in history, like the Civil War or the first season of the show when Lacey Chabert was the voice of Meg (holla at ya, Gretchen Weiners!)In the end, the clones all meet up at the exact same time and take a vote one what to do next. In the end, they vote to “let it happen” and even go as far as give themselves a round of high-fives in celebration. So, the big question is: horrifically tasteless or terribly HIGHlarious? It obviously couldn’t be THAT BAD in the minds of FOX, since they let it go to air, but perhaps the standards department has just given up trying to stop Seth from pushing the envelope. Thoughts???

  1. You have got to be kidding me…So now what? Seth MacFarlene said something against the LGBT community or why the fuck are you turning your back against him now??

  2. But it is always funny how hypocritical people are. When they are making fun of something else its funny, rather it be a different religion, race, nationality, etc. But if they start dissing a thing you’re passionate about or something that you’re a part of thats when someone goes defcon 1 and gets offended. Just like the black guy that voiced chef in southpark..they made fun of every single religion you can think of and he was completely fine and contempt with it. But the second they made fun of his religion he went ape shit and quit. LOL hypocrisy.

  3. Family Guy is ALWAYS FUNNY!!! I never NOT laugh when I watch this and South Park!

  4. No point in getting offended. We have killed quadruple the civilians in friendly fire accidents over there than what we lost in the attacks. A trillion dollars, a decade, several thousand American, Allied and civilian lives lost, to kill one man that could of possibly been dead for years. Great Job America.

  5. This is the second time in the last week you’ve attacked this show, so from your previous record, you have some kind of agenda. In other words, somebody ignored you or didn’t give you what you want or did something they didn’t even know about to gain your wrath.

Oh, BTW, most of us just come here anymore to read the comments and laugh at silly typos (show – shoe, makes a big difference), so this “COMMENTS OFF crap stuff is bad for business. Besides, seems like you generally turn them off for your buddies like Kim K. Yet you want to start a debate about “Family Guy”. That’s so Perez!
