Making for quite the star-studded spectacle, the 2011 American Music Awards took place at Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday night (November 20). The annual musical showcase featured plenty of action, with the big winner of the ceremony being Taylor Swift – who picked up three trophies including Country Female Artist, Country Album and the grandest of all prizes Artist of the Year. Other triumphant artists included Nicki Minaj with two trophies for Rap Hip Hop Artist and Rap Hip Hop Album for “Pink Friday” while Bruno Mars nabbed Pop/Rock Male honors and Hot Chelle Rae landed the title of Best New Artist.
