STELLENBOSCH, South Africa (Reuters) – Families tucking into a Sunday dinner of roast chicken or pork may not relish the idea of animals fattened on maggots. But one British entrepreneur in South Africa believes that maggots, the wriggling larvae of the common house fly (Musca Domestica), is a viable protein-rich alternative to make animal feed.
