Community Creator Dan Harmon Won’t Be Back As Showrunner!!
Here’s a life lesson for the world. . . Don’t mess with Chevy Chase!! When Dan Harmon, the creator of Community, unleashed the show star’s nasty voicemail, that was the last straw! Apparently Sony execs hadn’t been gelling with Dan anyways, but this was just too much. Chevy was humiliated, and publicity or not, the show’s behind-the-scenes was then viewed as a chaotic mess! So when it came time to renew his showrunner contract, Sony was like. . . eh! Finding out via press release, Dan blogged:Do not believe anyone that tells you on Monday that I quit or diminished my role so I could spend more time with my loved ones, or that I negotiated and we couldn?t come to an agreement, etc. It couldn?t be less true because, just to make this clear, literally nobody called me. Ouch. But they probably didn’t call because they were afraid they’d reach voicemail! Ha!

There is no proof that his firing had anything to do with Chevy. What he did was admittedly dickish but Chevy is notorious for being a difficult prick to work with. Dan Harmon is a creative genius who clashed with the studio. As for eicarr–you must LOVE Two and a Half Men…

Sony did the right thing! Hopefully others in Hollywood learn from this and it’s this is the last we’ll every hear about Harmon.
