Nikki Reed Among Stars Giving Back at Autism Speaks “Blue Tie – Blue Jean Ball”
Blending formal and casual for a good cause, Nikki Reed and James Van Der Beek were among the stars that came out to support the Autism Speaks “Blue Tie – Blue Jean Ball” in Beverly Hills on Thursday (November 29). Hosted by Beth Riesgraf, Krysten Ritter, and Sarah Shahi, the fundraising fete featured entertainment by Raphael Saadiq & Friends as attendees enjoyed dinner, drinks and conversation throughout the night. Founded in 2005, the charity is the leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. This year, The Guess Foundation was honored for its dedication to battling the developmental disorder – with Miss Reed being joined by her “American Idol” alum hubby, Paul McDonald, for a speech and performance in honor of her brother, who suffers from autism.
